Hello LUG,

The meeting this Thursday (10/1) at 18:00 MST will be about text
editors. Some of these editors are ones you might consider using every
day, and some are just for fun or are interesting for their role in
the history of computer science.

Also, sometime in October, LUG plans to have a "WAN Party" (play video
games online together all night, without meeting up in person). This
is the COVID-19 edition of the LAN Parties LUG has had in the past
when everyone brought their computers to the computer lab.
If you're interested, please help pick a date by filling out this
survey: https://lug.mines.edu/s/38/respond
Also, please join the LUG Matrix chat if you haven't already.
Instructions here: https://lug.mines.edu/matrix

As usual, the Linux help session will be at 17:00 MST before the
meeting. Anyone at Mines is welcome to stop by for help with
installing software or to get answers to Linux-related questions.

Both the meeting and the help session will be completely remote using
the Jitsi video conferencing platform. Jitsi can be used in-browser
without installing software onto your computer. See
https://lug.mines.edu/covid for Jitsi links (you must be logged in
with Multipass). Links are subject to change, so please revisit this
page before a meeting or help session.
