Greeting LUGgers,

Tomorrow, David Grisham will be giving a talk on the Go programming
language. It should be similar to the one last Fall, but he plans to
update it with new material, specifically about go-routines.

Here's the details:

    Date: Thursday, 2018-09-20
    Time: 6 PM
Location: ALAMODE Linux Lab (BB 136)
    Dinner provided!

The Linux Help Session will be right before at 5 PM in the same lab. You
can bring your laptop, and we can help you install Linux, or you can
loan a laptop from us, and we'll get you set up on there.

Next week, we will be holding window manager lightning talks (about 10
minutes per talk, informal demonstrations of various window managers).
Please let me know if there is one you want to do.

Also, if you did not know, we hold a LAN party about two times every
semester. This is a fun time where we all get together and play video
games from 6 PM until the early morning. If you are interested, please
fill out this date poll:

Finally, don't forget about the Tyler Tech Programming Competition this
weekend! It will be held at MZ 026 on Saturday from 10 to 3. No need to
register in advance: just show up. If you're looking for a team, use our
Piazza site here as a resource to help find one:

If you are not going to be at the programming competition and would like
to help me run a table at Preview Mines for ACM & LUG, please let me
know. I would appreciate the help =) (time is 12:30 to 2ish on
