Is this still for the issue you sent to the LUG list in May? Or was that
resolved?

Regardless, downgrading Ubuntu is usually something that you have to do
as a manual process (i.e., backup your home directory, reinstall, copy
over your old home directory, and setup software) as apt packages have
only upgrade information, not the reverse. So it is probably easier to
see if what you need can operate on 18.04 rather than setup your system
again.

Sounds like Sumner is willing to help you reinstall if you need to go
that route.
