> Based in Thornton, CO, this 12-month program is an immersion into
> technology at Google. Operations Apprentices will learn what it takes

> Responsibilities
> * May provide remote system administration across the globe to ensure
>   the reliability of Google’s delivery infrastructure.
> * Collaborate regularly with partners and internal teams providing
>   technical assistance, remote troubleshooting and IP networking
>   support.
> * Operate as part of a global 24x7 team. Interface closely with
>   various network and software engineering teams.
> * Work in a fast paced environment while ensuring the uptime and
>   availability of Google's products. Support of internal and external

> * Provide crucial feedback in identifying bugs, networking problems

> Minimum Qualifications
> * Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in
>   Computer Science or related technical field to be completed no
>   earlier than May 2017.
> * Completed basic systems, networking and programming classes.
> * Eligible to work in the United States.
> Preferred Qualifications
> * Passionate about technology, engineering, Open Source Software.
> * Familiar and comfortable with Linux or BSD.
> * Familiarity with TCP/IP and networking basics.
> * Systems, networking and programming experience.
> Work Hours
> * The apprentice program will start in January 2017 and is intended to
>   last approximately one year.
> * Students will work part-time hours with an expectation of 20 or more
>   hours per-week.
> * Work hours will be determined on a case by case basis.
