Colorado School of Mines Academic Computing and Networking Spam Filter users:
On Wednesday, July 16th, and starting at 5pm, AC&N will be replacing the hardware of Cardea, the AC&N Spam Filter.
Barracuda Networks offers no methods of migrating QUARANTINED emails from the old spam
filter to the hardware. This will mean that any existing quarantined emails currently
residing in your spam filter account will not be available on the NEW hardware once
the switch is done. We will, however, provide access to your existing quarantine email
until the morning of July 28th.
The new hardware will be named the same as the current spam filter. Once the change
is made, you can access your current whitelists, blacklists, and quarantined emails on
http://cardea.mines.edu. Everything will look and act the same with the exception of
quarantined emails. Emails that are quarantined AFTER 5pm on 7/16/08 will be visible
on http://cardea.mines.edu. Emails that were quarantined BEFORE 5pm on 7/16/08 will
be visible on the old hardware, http://cardea2.mines.edu, until the morning of July 28th.
